AMANDA WILSON Amanda Wilson is a Mixed Media Artist working in mainly Painting, Sculpture, Ceramics and Print. She has shown her artwork in various locations such as New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida, North Carolina and New York City. Wilson has been featured in events such as NYC Fashion Week, Fort Lauderdale Fashion Week, and Art Basel Miami, just to name a few. You can find Wilson's painted gowns and accessories along the east coast in numerous boutiques as well as online with one of her most recent partners, Vivre Couture. Wilson has also worked with clients such as ShopRite and Jon BonJovi's B.E.A.T Center to create painted murals, signs and sculptural installations. You can find her artwork in publications such as The Knot Magazine, Art Hive Magazine, The Palm Beacher Magazine, and Jupiter Magazine. New to NC, Wilson is a Wake Forest based freelance artist currently working on dealing with the push and pull between different surface treatments and contrast of textures, she is constantly creating something new. Continuously looking for more ways to create and spread her passion for art; Wilson currently works for Raleigh Parks and Rec. teaching classes at the Sertoma Arts Center and also teaches step by step paint & sip classes locally. Her working studio & gallery space is located at 225 S White St. in Downtown Wake Forest, NC. Wilson's work is for sale in her online shop, and she is currently taking commissions. |
"My aim is to create works that speak to you viscerally, so that you have the urge to reach out and touch, to enter the world I’ve created. This world is inspired by forms and patterns that exist in nature. I am always bouncing from one medium to another, constantly transferring similar ideas between multiple projects. Each project relates to the next due to the fluid nature of my work."
