Wednesday December 17th "Winter Barn” Pint + Paint Class at Norse Brewing - Wake Forest

(New Date) Wednesday, December 17th • 6PM • This painting level is Moderate
This special class will be taught step by step and will be great for beginners and experienced painters alike. This cozy winter landscape of a barn in a frosty setting, sets the scene for the beautiful season to come! We will be using a limited color palette in this painting of blue, orange, white, and black. Mixing the colors in the correct way will give us a beautiful array of tones to create this snowy scene. Amanda will also bring the color red in case anyone wants to put red berries on their wreath. The general shape of the barn will be pre-sketched for you to make painting a breeze! We will be painting this special painting on an XL 12”x16” upgraded canvas.
This is a wonderful class to take with family or to take yourself and create a handmade gift to cherish for years to come. Norse has great dinner and drink options to complete this special creative night out in Downtown Wake Forest.
Supplies are included in your ticket price as follows:
A Stretched Cotton Canvas to paint on with Acrylic Paint to take home and keep forever!
Paint Brushes, Artist Easel, Apron, Water Cup & Mixing Surfaces to use along with Set up & Clean up.
Food, Cocktails, Beer and Wine (21+) will be available for purchase at this event from Norse Brewing Company. (No outside food or drinks will be permitted)
Class time will be approximately 2.5-3 hours long, please be off the clock for maximum relaxation and creative expression. We want you to leave with a painting you will proudly display in your home or even give as a gift!
*Please arrive at 6pm and relax upstairs in Norse’s main dining hall until the class is called down to the paint class. You can arrive early to enjoy dinner upstairs or feel free to order food any time during the class downstairs . Friendly reminder to please arrive as close to 6PM as possible to allow time to get settled, grab some "liquid courage” & food before we dive into the paint! Our pre class waiting area will be upstairs in Norse's main dining hall while the class tables are being set up downstairs. All drinks and food before class must be ordered upstairs as we do not have a bartender downstairs before class time. Seating is assigned and we will call everyone to the painting tables as soon as we are ready for you downstairs for class.

Palette Knife Special!
We will be creating this icy winter scene with a mixture of brushstroke and palette knife techniques! Amanda will teach the class how to mimic ice reflections in the creek and how to create the look of fluffy snow with pallet knife. This painting will look more abstract up close and look more realistic from far away. These special techniques are so much fun to learn, you won’t want to miss this special class!

Private Party Deposit 10-19 Painters
This is a deposit that needs to be purchased by the host of the private party for 10-19 painters.
It can be used towards the purchase of seats to the event or can be refunded after the event to the host, or towards tip for the party/assistants. This deposit guarantees the hold of your date and time of your private event. The deposit can be moved if the date of the event changes but will not be refunded if the party cancels.

This is a deposit that needs to be purchased by the host of the private party for 20-40 painters.

Parks and Recreation in Raleigh offers a wonderful array of classes through multiple community centers. Wilson currently teaches 6 week courses that meet once a week at Sertoma Arts Center. These courses are taught in a higher level of detail than the paint and sip style classes she offers and are great for anyone who wants to learn more in depth about painting in acrylic.
